They came out way back in the 80s just after the series ended on TV. They sum up the original series really well, keeping the most important bits in, removing all the filler and fluff and has some improved animation. I remember watching 1 (I don't recall the name) and it was totally confusing. Most of the compilation movies sucked though. A sequel to an AU Gundam like G, Wing, X or Turn A. Summary movies for ZZ Gundam similar to what Zeta Gundam got. Remaking the original series in all new HD animation. Animating an all new Gundam series/OVA/Movie. A possibility of this happening, there are many fans of these stories. Animating one of the countless Manga or Novel stories like Unicorn, Crossbone Gundam, Gaia Gear, Beltorchika's Children etc. A sequel movie for SEED, which they announced but we haven't heard of since, but its highly unlikely to be a "surprise project" So what do people think Sunrise/Bandai have in mind?Īs for me, they could do ANYTHING at this point, nobody really knows: Gundam|News will keep on top of the news and information as it becomes available. Kouryakukan reports in one of their lastest postings (Gundam Ace Part II posting) that the 30th anniversary Gundam will be a “surprise project” when they announce what it’ll be in the spring of 2009 after the second season of Gundam 00 ends its run.
